Well, time's almost up. The period of being able to download the Wii Opera Internet Channel is nearly done. Opera has sent out emails reminding customers that starting on July 1st Wii owners will be required to pay 500 Wii points to purchase the channel. Those of you who've already downloaded it have nothing to worry about because you won't be charged for anything.
The browser isn't terrible but at the same time I suggest you save your Wii points for something else, like a Virtual Console game. It makes good use of the Wii remote and pages display like they would on a computer's internet browser, but the lack of a physical keyboard slows things down a bit and it will never replace your computer.

I already have mine. I wish they would have said something about when we'd be getting updates.
Got mine, whoever doesn't have it obviously just got a Wii. XD
I wish the browser could do more.....
well its better then nutin....,
While its a pretty pathetic browser, its better to get it for free because it isn't worth paying 500 Wii points for.
Not at all. I don't think I'll ever use it, unless my computer dies or something.
But again, nice to get it while its free. The price is right.
only annoying thing about it is the lack of a keyboard...i wish i coul plug one in to use, but it doesnt register.
it loads well, looks good, and i havent had any problems with it yet. i wouldn't want to pay the points for it, but it's useful when someone else is on the computer and wont get off.
