Not long after we first got word of
WiiWare, CVG decided to go right to the source and question Nintendo UK. They came out with a few new details and a flat out denial from Nintendo that an external hard drive attachment is being considered.
Just like Virtual Console games, WiiWare games will be played off of the Wii's internal flash memory and can be stored to SD cards. However, they won't be playable from the SD. Nintendo will also be developing first party titles for WiiWare. So maybe this means that we could see a new Zelda or Mario game made using the old SNES sprites.
Nintendo still hasn't decided if they will have a worldwide release for the service, or if it will be one territory at a time. They also say that Nintendo currently has no plans of releasing an open-source development tool in the future.

They would have then add more channel space if they WiiWare games can't be plated from a SD card. Still cool though.

Ii would basically be a system where you would download origianl games created by developers. They would be as big as a VC game space wise. Also in the shop channel there is a place called WiiWare where you download the channels, my guess would be that you would buy the original games from there as well.
So its basically new games that you can buy and download from your Wii

Nobody ever has plans for anything until they decide they want to announce it. If it does happen and its not open source, give the crackerhackers time to bust the core code. It'll leak, oh yeas it will LEAK.

This was expected for quite awhile, glad that they announced it and I can't wait to see what games Nintendo make for it. O:
Hopefully they'll say more at E3 about it.
