I think it was since all of the games seem like they were originally made for the GCN controls.

Yes, a lot of games certainly do seem like that.

This may be the reason why it didn't feature online and some of the games felt like they could of been done with the anolog stick. Because it might of been quickly rushed for Wii. Theres still hope for Mario party 9

Yesterday I bought Mario Party, only to realise it doesn't support 16:9 and have a big black box space surrounding the screen, Its massive.

Mario Party 9 HAS! to have 16:9, its so frustrating not having it.

It's odd imagining having it for Gamecube with some of the minigames. Some must have been planned, but others must have been to closely related to minigames already made in other Mario Party games.
