I think this came out a couple of weeks ago, but the next SimCity game is NOT going to be SimCity 5, but rather a kind of spin-off game called SimCity Societies.

It sounds interesting but totally unnecessary. I'm ready for a real SimCity sequel (its been 4 years already!), and I think you'll be hard pressed to find another SimCity fan who would want this as opposed to the real thing. A lot of the concepts sound like they could be integrated into a real SimCity game, so I'm having a hard time understanding the logic behind this game.

I really like Sim City, but I've never had good luck with them. Apparently I'm not urban planner my fav was Sim Tower which I know a lot of people hated. I hope this game is good and keeps the Sim City name going strong.

I always liked Simcity 3000 the best. Felt the most realistic.

I was one of the few people that never actually got around to playing Sim City. I did play it a couple times in school though.

Sim City is freakin awesome.......first one i played ever was sim city for SNES

Sim City 3000 in my opinion is the best. And it came out before EA killed Maxis. I didn't know EA was even working on another Sim City. It hasn't been touched in a while, so I thought the series was a little dead.

was simcity 3k the one where you had to build sewer lines? that was my favorite game.

this simcity societies sounds more like 'the sims' with sim city stuff in it. totally not interested.

Man I haven't played SimCity in a long time. I never played any other than the first on my PC at the time. I suppose I got kinda bored with the game, as all you do is try to continually improve using various methods until you "max out", with no real goal in mind. It's the same reason I don't play mmorpg's. Too open ended I suppose.
