Now before you start jumping up and down with excitement, I need to warn you that this is just an inference, and Kid Icarus for the Wii has NOT been officially confirmed.
So far, none of the other big name gaming sites have confirmed Kid Icarus, but with constant mumblings throughout IGN’s podcast it seems that that Kid Icarus is finally making his big return.
In the Mar. 31 podcast, a question was asked for clarification about IGN’s vague promise that a “major Nintendo franchise” would be returning to Wii in 2008, and Mark Bozon, the associate editor replied, “Kid Icarus. That was before we could say Kid Icarus, but that’s been blown out by everybody, everywhere.”
In the Mar. 10 podcast, there was a question directly asking if a new Kid Icarus game will appear on the Wii in 2008. Casamassina replied: “Kid Icarus? Absolutely. I mean, come on, the rumors are out there. We won’t comment any further, but there are some games, obviously, that are coming.”
Anybody that has been listening regularly to IGN’s podcast could say that over the past couple of weeks they seem to have had an extreme attraction to Kid Icarus Wii.
