After IGN unveiled The Conduit to the world High Voltage Software must have liked the attention they and their game were getting. As a result IGN also had the opportunity to reveal a new WiiWare title from High Voltage Software entitled Gyrostarr, a sci-fi shooter reminiscent of F-Zero, Audiosurf, and Wipeout... with guns.
For a WiiWare title Gyrostarr looks incredibly pretty and could easily beat out many retail Wii releases in terms of graphics. The game includes 50 tracks not to mention 16:9 480p display capabilities all in under 40MB of data. The game will support up to four player co-op multiplayer in which you can your teammates will compete for power ups while all having a common goal in mind. It can be controlled with either tilt based controls on the Wii remote alone or a more traditional analogue stick method with the nunchuk attachment. Gyrostarr will be a WiiWare launch title in North America (May 12) and will cost 700 Wii points to download.
