Nintendo Announces WiiWare Prices and Dates in Japan
Posted by: Kindrik  - 03-11-2008 05:37 PM - Replies (5)
While the release of WiiWare in North America is still a couple months away, Japanese Wii owners will be enjoying the service by the end of this month. Nintendo plans to release WiiWare in Japan on March 25th with no less than nine launch titles. The list is as follows:
  • Okiraku Ping Pong (Arc System Works - 500 Wii pts)
  • Kotoba no Puzzle Mojipittan Wii (Bandai Namco Games - 1000 Wii pts)
  • Saku Saku Animal Panic (Konami Digital Entertainment - 1000 Wii pts)
  • Star Soldier R (Hudson - 800 Wii pts)
  • My Life as King: Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles (Square Enix - 1500 Wii pts)
  • Tenshi no Solitaire (G-mode - 500 Wii pts)
  • Dr. Mario & Saikin Bokumetsu (Nintendo - 1000 Wii pts)
  • Pokemon Ranch (Nintendo - 1000 Wii pts)
  • LONPOS (Genki - 1000 Wii pts)
Nintendo hasn't set limits on WiiWare pricing Final Fantasy seems to be near the higher end of the spectrum while games could go as low as 500 as evidenced by games from Arc System Works and G-Mode.

This should be no indication of the North American launch list so take it as you will. Also worth noting is that Genki has mentioned that LONPOS, a puzzle game which will have nine download packs with 25 puzzles each.
