Mario Kart Wii hasn’t been out in Europe and Japan for more than a week, but the online mode is already plagued with cheaters taking advantage of one of the most common and annoying glitches. This annoying glitch deals with time trial track times. To execute this glitch, the player needs to do one full lap, stop, and then turn around and cross the finish line again. The “Finish” cut scene will then roll, giving these cheaters some unbelievable lap times. These cheaters will then get ranked at the top of the time trial records. Any player will admit that this glitch is cheap (Except those doing it).
Through all this trauma, the unthinkable happened. When Nintendo gained knowledge of this glitch, they actually stepped in within hours of this discovery to prevent knowledge of this glitch from spreading. Then Nintendo terminated all the online records/accounts and even seemed to have patched up the online portion of this glitch. Great job Nintendo of Europe and Japan!
