Now in recent times Nintendo have been criticized heavily. If it wasn't the lack of triple A hardcore titles then it was their uninspiring E3 press conference. The gamers are getting fed up with Nintendo and they are the ones aiming this criticism but recent figures show that despite the gamers being fed up with Nintendo, the company just keeps on flying high.
Nintendo earning more than all other profitable companies together is indeed an achievement and they're currently looking like the perfect business. Failing to adapt to the changing gaming world in their last attempt (GameCube) they return with the complete opposite to the rival companies this time and re-invent the industry all by themselves by making gaming open to everyone with the Wii and DS.
Iwata recently admitted that before the Wii he was afraid he was facing the fact that he would be removed from power while the company was going into a slow death but then the Wii came and revitalized the company into what it is today.
