Hot Head, developer of Penny Arcade Adventures was recently interviewed by the guys over at Kotaku. The interview was mainly about how the PSN hasn't got the game while XBLA has had it for a while however the question about if it can come to Wiiware was also raised and here is how they responded:
"I'd love to be on the platform," Ceraldi said. "It’s purely an issue of size limit. Our game is just too big. If they increase that limit or add a harddrive, anything like that we would revisit (Wii Ware)."
However Kotaku also said:
While they would love to bring the episodic game to the Wii, the size limits for Wiiware prevent them from going the digital distribution method, he said. But that doesn't mean it couldn't come out down the line as a boxed game for Nintendo's console.
The statement is extremely disheartening to hear that developers are being turned off due to the size limitations that the Wii has. Hopefully Reggie is a man of his word and gets a storage fix out soon.
