Generally, launch details are given to the press ahead of time, under an agreement not to publish those details until a certain time. However, at least one publisher, the Seattle PI, has taken Nintendo's thunder by releasing the information early!

Nintendo's heavy launch list includes at least 25 titles, hoping to give them an edge in the next generation of video game systems. In addition, the Big N plans to ship 4 million consoles worldwide by the end of the year, just as Sony is scaling back the release numbers of the twice delayed Playstation 3.
While earlier reports that Wii Sports had been removed from the launch library were met with hostility among fans, Nintendo is making up for it by BUNDLING the game with every console! This is rarely seen in the console market, as even Nintendo's consoles have not been bundled with software by default in many years.
Nintendo plans to charge $50 for Wii games, $10 less than competitors. In addition, players may download classic games through the Virtual Console for $5-$10 each. Thirty such classic games are to be available by launch.
