After kicking off it's E3 press conference by bombarding attendees with numbers and statistics, Nintendo went on to officially announce the Wii Zapper. This isn't the same shell we saw back at E3. It's been given a new redesign and a housing for the nunchuk as well.
The first games to make use of the Zapper attachment will be Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles, Ghost Squad, and Medal of Honor. The problem? Much like the nunchuk, the zapper will be sold seperately for $20 US. Of course there could be a bundle where the games will come with the Zapper, but then they would cost at least $60.
No date was announced for it's release but I assume it will be some time before the end of the year as Resident Evil is expected to be released by then as well.
