Remember the infamous Reggie Fills-Aime interview for GameTrailers TV? That same interview where he mentioned a big game to be coming at E3 2008? Well we haven't been short of rumors of what that title with with IGN's Matt talking of a Kid Icarus IP, then some people giving consideration Star Fox, and that Factor 5, famous for their Nintendo exclusive Star Wars Flight series Rouge Squadron on GameCube and the PS3 flop LAIR, is developing a big game for the Nintendo Wii console. Now we have one more title for the mix.
German site Planet Nintendo have said that a sequel to the futuristic GameCube racer F-Zero GX is coming as F-Zero Z and that Nintendo will announce it at E3 this year. It comes as a surprise that out of the blue a lesser known German site gives details of the Wii's big E3 title, leaving this as nothing more than a rumor for the moment.
A Babel Fish translation of the original source:
"An official successor to F-Zero GX appears on the Nintendo Wii. F-Zero Z, so the title of the Future Racers all distances of the GameCube of predecessor will presumably contain and an on-line mode will have. A weapon system was also confirmed. On the E3 of this year is the title by Big N to be presented..." German is structured differently to English so try to ignore the indifferent speech.
So here we go with that rumor mill spinning again, where it'll stop no one knows. Will we be seeing Nintendo's classic futuristic racing series this year? Or will it actually be Kid Icarus? Stay tuned to WiiLoaded.com to find out.
