Datel's FreeLoader may be a godsend for many, but it does have its downfalls all the same; not only is it expensive, but Nintendo seem to be set on blocking any form of Wii hacking, and can you blame them?
However, small time developer Nuke may just have an answer. Gecko Region Free is the name given to a new piece of Wii homebrew software, made possible by the infamous Twilight Hack. Essentially, this nifty little program will allow region-free gaming to take place on a Wii console from anywhere in the world, on any given region. It is thought that Gecko Region Free will be availing of the unofficial Wii Homebrew Channel in an effort to spread word to the masses, although its ten minute-limit system may become an inconvenience.
The real question here is whether or not Nuke will keep Gecko Region Free up-to-date, or at least faster than Datel will?
