Sonic fans (if there are any of you left) rejoice! SEGA has announced that the latest Sonic the Hedgehog game, currently titled 'Project Needlemouse' will not subject gamers to Amy Rose, Charmy or Big the Cat. No, the only playable character in the upcoming game will be the blue blur himself.
SEGA ran a contest this week, slowly crossing names of a list of playable characters until Sonic's name was the only one left. SEGA was also kind enough to drop some concept art of one of Robotnik's 'Badniks'. No further details of this upcoming game were released.
Project Needlemouse is the latest in SEGA's long running Sonic the Hedgehog series which will be a 2D side-scroller similar to previous entries in the Sonic series and will be playable in High Definition.
