EBGames and Gamestop began taking preorders on the PS3 console today, 10/10. Both stores are only taking preorders on the number of consoles that they are receiving at launch, due to not being able to meet the reservation demand for the 360 last year.
With the delays and shortages that have plagued Sony, snagging a PS3 by the holidays may prove difficult if you miss preordering. Most locations had lines several deep by opening, while some desperate souls lined up four or more hours to hammer out their spot on the reservation list. While it is very likely that they will be completely out by the time you read this, as of this writing, there are still a few stores out there that have some available!
