Eventhough no release date for Mario Strikers Charged has been announced by Nintendo of America or Nintendo of Japan for their respective regions, Nintendo of Australia has confirmed that the game will release down under on June 7th.
As you may or may not know, one of the game's big selling points is it's online play and this announcement seems to officially make Mario Strikers Charged the first online Wii game to be released outside of Japan. It was assumed that Pokémon Battle Revolution would be the first online enabled Wii game to release but the Aussie date of June 7th on MSC puts it a few weeks ahead of PBR's US date of June 25.
There are two ways you can take this now. You can either still believe that Pokémon will stay Wii's first online title and that it's release date in Australia or it's US release would be moved to some time before June 7. You could also argue that Nintendo of America and Japan will soon announce that Mario Strikers Charged will hit stores at some point within the next 2 months. Either way, I think we can expect to be playing Wii games online come June.
